The IM2605 integrates a synchronous 4-switch Buck-Bꦫoost converter that maintains output voltage regulaꦐtion when the input voltage is eithe🐼r less than o🃏r greater tha🏅n the output voltage. It operates as a Buck converter while the input volta💛ge is sufficient꧟ly greater than the output voltage and gradually transitions to the Buck-Boost mode as the input volt🐼age approache🌃s the output. It also features an intern๊al fixed soft-start function and offers protection features including input UVLO, OCP, overload protection (OLP), OVP and thermal shutdown. In addition, it features selectable FCCM or DCM operation for light load. The IM2605 also control two low N-MOSFETs as load switches helping to reduce BOM cost. With a micro-processor, it can realize input bulk capacitance discharging during power swap.
